Safeguarding in Action : Putting Theory into Practice

 

Join Consultant Sian Jorgensen, at one of her highly recommended immersive training events designed to equip safeguarding professionals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage child protection concerns within international school settings. 

 

Participants work in teams, each receiving a culturally relevant child protection report relevant to their role. Through interactive exercises and guided discussions, they'll navigate the complexities of safeguarding, from initial assessment to appropriate action steps, all while receiving expert support and guidance.

Different topics are coved in the different events but ALL events have at minimum these :

Learning Outcomes

• Develop an understanding of the key principles and best practices in child safeguarding within an international school context.

• Reflect on personal and professional attitudes towards safeguarding and develop a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement in this area.

• Apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex safeguarding scenarios and make informed decisions in line with best practice.

• Leave the training equipped with practical tools and resources to support effective safeguarding practices within their school community.

• Gain experience in working collaboratively as a team to assess and manage child protection allegations or concerns.

• Explore ethical and legal considerations surrounding child protection, including confidentiality and reporting requirements / thresholds.
